Rosalia

Rosalia Vila aka Rosalia is a Spanish flamenco and pop performer. She has been a part of the fringes of popular and traditional music since her teens she is also involved in other styles like the hip hop soul genre and trap. Her voice has been said by no less an artist than the flamenco musician Pepe Habichuela as sweet and sharp, however with a bit of bite similar to older versions. El Mal Querer was her significant commercial breakthrough and critical success in the year 2018. The single Los Angeles garnered her attention as well as a Latin Grammy Nomination for Best New Artist, it topped Billboard's Latin Pop Albums and she won the Grammy. The hit single La Fama featuring the Weeknd came out in 2021. Motomami came out as her third album that was full-length. It featured collaborations with fellow artists and producers, including Cory Henry. The set came out in the month of March 2022, following an Saturday Night Live performance featuring the hit song Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the only solo performer on the show for the very first time on the show. Motomami was her album which was awarded the three Latin Grammy Awards also made Rosalia the first female artist to win won the Latin Album of the Year be awarded twice.
